Candle & Cookie Dough Sale Starting March 21
Popcorn Sale & Candle/Cookie Dough Sale Will be in the spring

Well it is time for Spring Popcorn Sales

As with our other fundraisers, the Scouts will receive half of the profits from each sale in Scout Bucks.  This year our margin is 38%, so if you sell $500 in popcorn the total profit will be $190 of which the Scout makes $95.  The more you sell the more you make.  There are no prizes given for Spring popcorn, instead we receive a higher margin which means more in Scout Bucks.

A couple of things about this year’s sales.

Sales officially begin Saturday March 21st.

Popcorn must be paid for in advance.

Checks should be made out to Troop 62

All sales forms and money are due back to me no later than Monday April 13th!

I will receive the popcorn and it will be available for pickup on Friday             May 1st.

We will order the exact number of items that are presold, there will                 not be any extra popcorn available through the Troop.


New this year is the option of selling over the internet.  If you are interested in this option you will need to notify me either by email or through the sign up at tonight’s meeting.  I will provide you with a special code and additional instructions, but in a nutshell this is how it works.  You send an email to your prospective customer that includes a greeting, and a URL (web address) to a website that also includes a special code for the customer to enter.  That code notifies the system that this is your sale.  The customer pays via credit card and the popcorn is sent directly to their home or business.  What else is nice is if they run out of popcorn during the year, and would like to order more, they can do so at any time during the year.  Whenever they reorder you get credit for that sale.
